Albania / Europe
The traditional Albanian music can be divided into two major stylistic groups as performed by the Ghegs of northern Albania and Tosks and Labs living in the southern part of the country. In the north songs are usually sung by individual. They sing historical themes, which describe the struggle against the Turks. In the south music and song are more communal, and often with a choral element.
